Organic fair trade coffee for home & office
Capsules
Our compostable Tropical Mountains capsules for the Nespresso® system are based on starch and plant pulp as well as lignin, a by-product of the paper industry. The bins are made of bamboo and starch-based material and are also compostable after removal of the waste paper wrapping.

The green coffees for our coffee capsules come directly from our family farm or from Tropical Mountains' organic and fair trade certified partners. Our family is constantly growing - our values remain: Organic Cultivation, Direct Fair Trade as well as sustainable packaging.

Rebels need strength - and should not only know what they are rebelling against, but also for what. This Arabica-Robusta blend from the two hot-blooded countries of Peru and Colombia gives you both: a powerful caffeine boost - and the assurance of standing up for fair and organically grown coffee. Get ready for a rich, smoky aroma with hints of tobacco and almond. Low acidity, a medium-bodied finish and a long-lasting aftertaste will stand by your side. An espresso for coffee rebels - and all those who want to become one.Tropical Mountains REBELLO Ristretto coffee capsules: Community CoffeeFor the REBELLO Ristretto, we use organic raw coffees from Peru and Colombia. In this way, we support coffee farmers from our network or from our community by purchasing their gourmet organic coffee for the Ristretto REBELLO directly and without intermediaries.  This gives the coffee farmers we work with a good and fair living.Compostable capsule alternatives for the Nespresso®* systemThe coffee capsules we use conserve natural resources. That is why both the capsules and their packaging are made from purely natural materials. Since aluminium is deliberately avoided, the capsules and packaging are completely biodegradable. Read here how you can gently dispose of or compost the packaging.Zero WasteWe consistently pursue the idea of Zero Waste. The 21 capsule containers can be refilled again and again. This is done with the Refill Bag, which is available in two different sizes.  The used up bags can be used in many ways or collected and returned to us for reuse. The history of Tropical Mountains fair trade organic coffeeTropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small farm 12 hours' drive from Lima, Peru. Peruvian Gisella Iriarte and Swiss Thomas Schwegler dream of organic and fair-trade coffee - traceable from the bean in the tropical highlands to the fragrant cup at home. Meanwhile, gourmet coffees from around the world have been added to our range, complementing the coffees from our family farm. They expand our ability to offer fair trade and certified organic coffees.Respect makes the tasteAnd as Tropical Mountains evolves, we are relying on our roots: organic farming, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging. We are a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), support local schools and fund charitable projects. Because we believe that respect is what makes coffee taste excellent.
