Finally, we deliver the gift set to you in high-quality gift packaging.

Tropical Mountains GIFT SET coffee capsules and chocolate

For our recyclable coffee capsules, we only use certified organic green coffee that we grow on our own farm. Or we buy it directly and without intermediaries from coffee farmers in our network or from our community. This so-called community coffee ensures that the coffee farmers we work with have a good and fair living.

The Pure Dark 71% organic chocolate from Choba Choba included in the gift set is an intense dark chocolate with tantalising aromas of citrus, cassis and black tea. It is made from selected cocoa beans from the company's own farms in Peru's Alto Huayabamba Valley in Switzerland.

Compostable capsule alternatives for the Nespresso®* system

The coffee capsules we use conserve natural resources. That's why both the capsules and their packaging are made from purely natural materials. Since aluminium is deliberately avoided, the capsules and packaging are completely biodegradable. Read here how you can gently dispose of or compost the packaging.

We consistently pursue the idea of zero waste. The 21 capsule containers can be refilled again and again. This is done with the Refill Bag, which is available in two different sizes. The used up bag can be used in many ways or returned to us for reuse.

The history of Tropical Mountains fair trade organic coffee

Tropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small farm 12 hours' drive from Lima, Peru. Peruvian Gisella Iriarte and Swiss Thomas Schwegler dream of organic and fair trade coffee - traceable from the bean in the tropical highlands to the fragrant cup at home.

Meanwhile, gourmet coffees from around the world have been added to our range, complementing the coffees from our family farm. They expand our ability to offer fair trade and certified organic coffees.

Respect makes the taste

And as Tropical Mountains evolves, we are relying on our roots: organic farming, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging. We are a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), support local schools and fund charitable projects. Because we believe that respect is what makes coffee taste excellent. Respect for our employees, for the coffee plant and for nature as a whole. That's why we also offset the CO2 emissions from our value chain. Our family grows - our values remain.

The Story of Tropical Mountains

Tropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small coffee farm deep in the Peruvian highlands, 12 hours by car from Lima. Peru-born Gisella Iriarte and Swiss entrepreneur Thomas Schwegler shared a vision: coffee grown with care, complete transparency from origin to cup, and a company built on respect and responsibility.

Over time, we have expanded our range to include exceptional gourmet coffees from trusted partners around the world. And while Tropical Mountains continues to grow, we remain true to our roots: building long-term relationships throughout the entire supply chain and dedicating ourselves to producing outstanding coffee – with curiosity, care, and a commitment to sustainability.

Today, we are proud to be a certified B Corporation – part of a global movement that uses business as a force for good. We support local communities, improve education in coffee-growing regions, and fund meaningful, sustainable projects.

Respect Makes Coffee Taste Better

We show respect for people, coffee plants, and the planet. That’s why we offset all CO₂ emissions across our supply chain and continuously work to reduce our ecological footprint. Our family is growing – but our values remain the same.
