For our decaffeinated CALMOSO coffee, we exclusively use CO2 naturally decaffeinated Arabica coffees sourced from the Brazilian highlands.
CO2 decaffeination leaves no chemical residues in the coffee. All the ingredients that shape the aroma and flavor of the coffee are fully preserved. This way, you can enjoy the full coffee flavor with CALMOSO.
The Story of Fair Trade Organic Coffee from Tropical Mountains
Tropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small farm, 12 hours' drive from Lima, Peru. Peruvian Gisella Iriarte and Swiss Thomas Schwegler dreamt of organic and fair trade coffee – traceable from the bean in the tropical highlands to the fragrant cup at home.
Meanwhile, gourmet coffees from around the world have been added to our range, complementing the coffees from our family farm. They expand our possibilities to expand the range of fair trade and organic certified coffees.
Respect Makes the Taste
And as Tropical Mountains evolves, we rely entirely on our roots: Organic farming, Direct Fair Trade, and sustainable packaging. We are a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), support local schools, and finance charitable projects. Because we believe that respect makes for excellent coffee taste. Respect for our employees, the coffee plant, and nature as a whole. That's why we also offset the CO2 emissions from our value chain. Our family is growing – our values remain.
