For our recyclable coffee capsules, we exclusively use organically certified green coffee, which we grow on our own farm. Alternatively, we source directly from coffee farmers in our network or community, without intermediaries. This so-called Community Coffee ensures that the coffee farmers we work with have a good and fair livelihood.

The coffee capsules we use are environmentally friendly and preserve natural resources. Both the capsules and their packaging are made from purely natural materials. By consciously avoiding aluminum, the capsules and packaging are fully biodegradable. Read here how you can dispose of or compost the packaging responsibly.We are committed to the idea of Zero Waste and offer refillable 21-capsule containers. The Refill Bag, available in two different sizes, can be used to refill the containers. The used bag can be repurposed in various ways or returned to us for reuse.
The Story of Fair Trade Organic Coffee by Tropical Mountains
Tropical Mountains started in 2012 as a small farm, located 12 hours away from Lima, Peru. Peruvian Gisella Iriarte and Swiss Thomas Schwegler dreamed of organic and fair trade coffee, traceable from the bean in the tropical highlands to the fragrant cup at home.Meanwhile, gourmet coffees from around the world have been added to our range, complementing the coffee from our family farm. They expand our possibilities to expand the offering of fair trade and organically certified coffees.
