Tropical Mountains Coffee Capsules: Community Coffee
For Tropical Mountains coffee capsules, we use exclusively certified organic green coffee, grown on our own farm or sourced from local farmers in the region. This community coffee allows the local coffee growers we work with to earn a fair livelihood.
Home-compostable capsules for the Nespresso®* system
Our coffee capsules conserve natural resources. That’s why the capsules and their packaging are entirely made from natural materials. Aluminium is deliberately avoided, making the entire product fully biodegradable in home compost.
Zero Waste
We rigorously pursue the zero waste concept. The 21-unit capsule boxes can be refilled several times thanks to our refill bags, available in two sizes. Used bags can be reused in many ways or returned to us for reuse.**

The Story of Tropical Mountains
Tropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small coffee farm deep in the Peruvian highlands, 12 hours by car from Lima. Peru-born Gisella Iriarte and Swiss entrepreneur Thomas Schwegler shared a vision: coffee grown with care, complete transparency from origin to cup, and a company built on respect and responsibility.
Over time, we have expanded our range to include exceptional gourmet coffees from trusted partners around the world. And while Tropical Mountains continues to grow, we remain true to our roots: building long-term relationships throughout the entire supply chain and dedicating ourselves to producing outstanding coffee – with curiosity, care, and a commitment to sustainability.
