Once upon a time there was a forest man - or "orang utan" - in the northern highlands of Sumatra. He was also called the gardener of the rainforest, because wherever he moved, he broke rotten branches from the canopy. Merciless logging and devastating forest fires are destroying its habitat. That is why we donate 0.50 € per kilogramme of exported green coffee to the Sumatra Orang Utan Protection Program SOCP of the Swiss foundation PanEco - and another 0.50 € to the small coffee farmers in the region.
