Chocolate

Coffee and chocolate are like brother and sister: they share a lot. So it was only natural to combine our Tropical Mountains coffee with exquisite Criollo cocoa. At one of the few "bean to bar" factories in Switzerland in Zurich, our "Boda Latina" premium chocolate was created. A feast for chocolate lovers!

Choba Choba

Since February 2024, we have included a first range of Swiss chocolate brand Choba Choba in our selection. There are good reasons for us to support the Choba Choba brand.

Firstly, of course, it's the shared origin. Our entrepreneurial roots are in Peru, where we grow coffee on our family farm. The raw cocoa used by Choba Choba for its chocolate creations also comes from Peru. Additionally, Tropical Mountains and Choba Choba share similar values, such as sustainable agriculture, fair trade principles, social engagement, and environmental protection. For us, collaborating with a brand that shares the same beliefs as we do helps to strengthen the idea of fair and direct trade among our customers.

Choba Choba advocates for sustainable and ethical practices in chocolate production. Choba Choba's cocoa cooperatives operate in an environment dominated by large corporations, similar to the global coffee production. Thus, we understand the challenges faced by the Choba Choba project from our own experience. From the collaboration with Choba Choba, we expect synergies to strengthen the shared idea and to convey a consistent message of responsibility towards people and the environment.

Lastly, we are highly convinced by Choba Choba's chocolates. What fits better with aromatic coffee than a bar of the finest chocolate?

Meanwhile, gourmet coffees from around the world have been added to our range, complementing the coffees from our family farm. They expand our ability to offer fair trade and certified organic coffees.Respect makes the tasteAnd as Tropical Mountains evolves, we are relying on our roots: organic farming, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging. We are a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), support local schools and fund charitable projects. Because we believe that respect is what makes coffee taste excellent. Respect for our employees, for the coffee plant and for nature as a whole. That's why we also offset the CO2 emissions from our value chain. Our family grows - our values remain.
