Our coffee blends consist of either 100% fair-trade organic Arabica beans. Or we have combined organic Arabica beans from Peru, Colombia and Brazil with organic Robusta coffees from Tanzania and India. In any case, you get coffees that suit every occasion and preparation method.

Tropical Mountains Universe tasting set
For our Best of Tropical Mountains tasting set, we use green coffee that we grow on our own farm or that comes from farmers in the region. This so-called community coffee ensures that the local coffee farmers we work with have a good and fair living.
In addition, we buy selected organic green coffee in Brazil, Colombia, India and Tanzania. The cooperatives whose coffee we buy share our values of respectful treatment of people and nature. They have been carefully selected by us.
The history of Tropical Mountains
The development of Tropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small farm 12 hours' drive from Lima, Peru. Peruvian Gisella Iriarte and Swiss Thomas Schwegler dream of organic and fair trade coffee - traceable from the bean in the tropical highlands to the fragrant cup at home.
Meanwhile, gourmet coffees from around the world have been added to our range, complementing the coffees from our family farm. They expand our ability to offer fair trade and certified organic coffees.

Respect makes the taste
And as Tropical Mountains evolves, we are relying on our roots: organic farming, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging.
We are a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), support local schools and fund charitable projects. Because we believe that respect is what makes coffee taste excellent. Respect for our employees, for the coffee plant and for nature as a whole. That's why we also offset the CO2 emissions from our value chain. Our family grows - our values remain.
