Home-Compostable Capsule Alternatives for the Nespresso®* System
The coffee capsules we use help conserve natural resources. That is why both the capsules and their packaging are made from purely natural materials. Since we deliberately avoid aluminium, the capsules and packaging are fully biodegradable in home compost.
Zero Waste
We consistently pursue the idea of zero waste. The 21-capsule containers can be refilled again and again. The Refill Bag serves this purpose and is available in two different sizes. The used bags can be reused in many different ways or collected and returned to us for reuse.

The Story of Tropical Mountains
Tropical Mountains began in 2012 as a small coffee farm deep in the Peruvian highlands, 12 hours by car from Lima. Peru-born Gisella Iriarte and Swiss entrepreneur Thomas Schwegler shared a vision: coffee grown with care, complete transparency from origin to cup, and a company built on respect and responsibility.
Over time, we have expanded our range to include exceptional gourmet coffees from trusted partners around the world. And while Tropical Mountains continues to grow, we remain true to our roots: building long-term relationships throughout the entire supply chain and dedicating ourselves to producing outstanding coffee – with curiosity, care, and a commitment to sustainability.
Today, we are proud to be a certified B Corporation – part of a global movement that uses business as a force for good. We support local communities, improve education in coffee-growing regions, and fund meaningful, sustainable projects.
